Rutte: We expect Serbia to hold the perpetrators of the attack in Banjska accountable

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said that they expect Serbia to bring those responsible for the 2023 terrorist attack in Banjska to justice.
Rutte said that he spoke about this with Serbian President Vučić, who, as Rutte said, told him that he would work in this direction.
"My predecessor worked on this with the President of Serbia, Alexander Vučić. I have also spoken to him personally, and he told me that he will work on this, and we expect the Serbian authorities to do their part in this regard," Rutte said when asked by Tëvë1 journalist Venhar Isufi, ahead of the meeting of foreign ministers of NATO member states.
He said they are monitoring the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and that NATO will assist in this process.
In September 2023, a terrorist group from Serbia carried out an attack in Banjska, Zvečan, where Kosovo policeman Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
The leader of this group was the former deputy leader of the Serbian List, Milan Radoićić. The Kosovo Special Prosecution Office has filed indictments against 45 members of this group.
Meanwhile, the three members of this group captured during the action by the Kosovo Police are being tried.
Kosovo has demanded that Radoićić and other members be handed over by Serbia.
Prime Minister Albin Kurit has made the extradition of Radoicic a condition for continuing the dialogue with Serbia.
