Russian propaganda has launched a new wave of artificial intelligence-generated videos on social media to promote the "peace at all costs" narrative.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The videos share a similar visual style and mimic the format of street interviews with supposedly "ordinary Ukrainians," the Telegraph reports.

The characters in the video express almost identical views: they claim they want the war to end at all costs, while claiming that the Ukrainian authorities are against this.

The main common feature of these videos is that they are generated entirely by artificial intelligence, as confirmed by verification using specialized services.

This is another example of Russia's use of artificial intelligence technologies in its information warfare against Ukraine.

The aim of the campaign is to demoralize Ukrainian society and shift responsibility for the continuation of the war onto the Ukrainian authorities.

In this way, the Russians seek to provoke public pressure on the Ukrainian military and political leadership and force it to make concessions.

Previously, CCD reported on a similar series of videos generated by artificial intelligence, in which “ordinary Ukrainians” were supposedly expressing the need to make concessions to Russia.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian propaganda continues a coordinated disinformation campaign against Ukraine during the Olympic Games being held in Italy.

In particular, new fake news is spreading on social networks, disguised as reports from foreign media. /Telegrafi/
