Russian basketball clubs are suspended from the EuroLeague

The members of the EuroLeague Executive Board have decided to suspend the three Russian clubs, CSKA Moscow, Zenit Saint Petersburg and UNICS Kazan.
Meanwhile, according to the announcement, the other 15 clubs of this basketball league will continue to play based on certain schedules.
If the situation does not change favorably, all regular season matches against Russian teams will be canceled to configure the league standings. CSKA, Zenit and UNICS are currently ranked in the Top 8.
In the meantime, according to this decision, another Russian club, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, has been suspended from the EuroCup.
The decision comes after the Russian attacks against Ukraine that also caused the suspension of Russian clubs and teams from UEFA and FIFA competitions, while the International Olympic Committee has also recommended the non-inclusion of Russian athletes in sports events. /Telegraph/
