The official of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Berat Rukiqi, together with the party's chairman, Lumir Abdixhiku, received the chargé d'affaires at the United States Embassy in Pristina, Anu Prattipati.

Rukiqi emphasized that returning to a full strategic partnership with the US remains essential for Kosovo's future and for accelerating the path towards NATO membership.

"Returning to a full strategic partnership with the US is vital for our future. With American leadership and the commitment of President Trump, we can accelerate our path towards the historic goal: Kosovo's membership in NATO," Rukiqi declared.

He also emphasized the necessity of close cooperation with American allies in the energy sector, underlining the need to build an American gas-fired power plant to reduce dependence on energy imports from Serbia.

"Together with our American allies, we must build the American gas-fired power plant to end the billion-dollar dependence on electricity imports originating in Serbia," he added. /Telegraph/
