Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim has revealed that Manchester United will now focus entirely on winning Europe's second-tier club competition, the Europa League.
The Red Devils are in 14th place in the Premier League and are likely to finish in the bottom half of the table this season.
However, the team from Old Trafford is doing well in European competitions, having already advanced to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
If they win the Europa League, they will be guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season.
After the victory over Lyon in the quarterfinals, Amorim stated that this is the team's goal now, as they will focus on the European competition.
"We really need to focus on the Europa League and sometimes take risks with kids in the Premier League. Fans need to understand that we need to focus on the Europa League," Amorim said. /Telegraph/
