Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has praised the mentality and intensity of his players after the Blues' convincing 5-1 victory over Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup.

He has stressed that, ahead of the next clash against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final, his main focus will not be on tactics, but on the team's attitude and mentality.

Speaking after the match, Rosenior revealed that his main message to the team was focused on reacting in difficult moments, rather than on technical or tactical changes.

"I still have two more days. But I think the biggest thing I challenged the players on was how we react to obstacles and our intensity. Nothing tactical, nothing technical," Rosenior said.

The new Chelsea coach also had kind words for his predecessor, Enzo Maresca, emphasizing that the team is well prepared.

"These players are exceptional. They trained very well before my arrival," said Rosenior, praising the work done earlier at Stamford Bridge.

"I was very pleased with the unity and spirit of the group against Charlton. I also really liked the intensity with which they ran, won duels, headed and did all the basic things. That's where the satisfaction lies," Rosenior concluded./Telegraph/
