Romanian welder creates amazing sculptures from scrap metal

A welder turns ordinary materials like planks and bicycle chains into sculptures, transforming the hallway of Romania's Galati University into a unique art exhibition.

The corridors of the University of Galati have been transformed into an extraordinary exhibition of sculptures made entirely of iron.

Created by welder Paul Mironov, the pieces have amazed visitors of all ages, reports Telegraph.

Mironov, who insists he is not an artist, but a man who "loves beauty," has spent years refining his craft.

His most challenging piece, a self-portrait, took 18 months to complete.

It is reported that the exhibition has sparked interest in a permanent display.

“We are considering a museum of diversity,” said Arthur Tulus, dean of Galati University.

"We just need the right space," he added. /Telegraph/
