Robinho was sentenced to 9 years in prison after raping an Albanian girl – he now has a “diabolical” plan to get out of prison

Former Brazilian footballer Robinho, who was sentenced to nine years in prison for gang-raping an Albanian girl with several other people while in Italy, has now, together with his legal team, found a way to get out of prison.
Robinho has been held in Tremembe prison in Sao Paulo for 11 months after being convicted of gang rape committed in 2013.
The former footballer was hiding in Brazil and since the two countries did not have an extradition treaty, he lived peacefully for a long time after the decision.
However, he ended up in prison, but together with his legal team he has now found a way to avoid the full sentence.
As reported by Brazilian Globo, Robinho's lawyers have officially requested a review of the sentence and the establishment of a semi-open regime due to differences in the legislation of Italy (where the rape was committed) and Brazil (where he is serving his sentence).
Accordingly, the lawyers are requesting that Robinho's sentence be revised to the minimum provided for by Brazilian law, which is six years in semi-open prison. This would allow Robinho to be released from prison.
Robinho said in an interview with TV Record that there was enough evidence to prove his innocence, which the Italian judicial system ignored.
The former footballer's request for protection is on the agenda of the Special Court's online session scheduled for March 13. A decision on Robinho's possible release from prison will then be announced. /Telegraph/
