Robert De Niro arrives in Cannes with his daughter Helen: This is her first public appearance since 2015

Robert De Niro walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival with his daughter Niro.

Last night, De Niro received the Palme d'Or for lifetime achievement, and on that occasion he was accompanied by his partner Tiffany Chen and his daughter, who had not appeared in public for a long time.

Helen last appeared in public in 2015 in the musical Beautiful on Broadway. De Niro gave birth to Helen with the help of a surrogate mother during his marriage to Grace Hightower.

In Cannes, he held the hand of his daughter Helen and partner Tiffany on the red carpet. Both wore elegant long black dresses.

De Niro has seven children, Drena, Helen, Gia, Raphael, twins Juliana and Aryn, and Eliot. In a recent interview, his transgender daughter Airyn De Niro spoke about coming out as one of seven children in the De Niro family.

"There's a difference between being visible and being actually seen. I've been visible. I don't think I've ever been seen before," she said.

De Niro decided to support her after she came out publicly as transgender.

"I loved and supported Aaron as my son, and now I love and support Airyn as my daughter. I don't know why that would be a problem for anyone, I love all my children," he said. /Telegraph/
