Rizvanolli: The historic modernization of the "Kosova B" Thermal Power Plant begins, after four decades

Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, has announced that for the first time since the construction of the "Kosova B" Power Plant, the process of modernizing the existing units and expanding the production capacities of this strategic energy facility has begun.

"For the first time since the construction of the 'Kosova B' Power Plant, after more than four decades, the modernization of existing units and the expansion of production capacities have begun," Rizvanolli wrote in a Facebook post.

According to her, this modernization is being carried out with an investment of 56.5 million euros, which are entirely financed by KEK, without taking out loans or debt.

"An important step is being taken towards energy security and public accountability," the acting minister emphasized.

During 2025 alone, an increase of +15 megawatts in production capacity is expected, which is considered a major advance in increasing the country's energy sustainability. /Telegraph/
