The Chairman of the Albanian National Council, Enkel Rexhepi, said that today the head of the OSCE in Serbia, Marcel Peshko, was presented with the challenges that Albanians are facing in the Valley.

Rexhepi said that the situation is not technical, but affects our institutional representation, security and fundamental rights.

"We highlighted the blocking of 304,511.16 euros dedicated to the National Secondary Education Commission, rejected three times without any reason, although 35,448 textbooks have already been distributed and 3,650 students use them every day. This is a direct blow to our institution," Rexhepi announced.

Furthermore, the head of the Albanian National Council said that with the head of the OSCE in Serbia they also discussed the damage from the blocking of agricultural subsidies, the lack of representation of Albanians in the police and the security crisis that this brings. He said that a multiethnic police force is an emergency.

He also said that with Peshko, they also talked about the massive increase in addresses and the non-recognition of diplomas from Serbia.

"We highlighted the two most serious wounds that are affecting people's lives every day. The deregistration of addresses that is artificially displacing the Albanian population. The disregard for the recognition of diplomas, which deprives our young people of the work and profession for which they are qualified," he said.

They have indicated that they have requested urgent treatment of the passivation and recognition of diplomas. The implementation of the 7-point Plan and the Action Plan for the employment of Albanians in state institutions at the local level, as basic documents for the affirmation of the rights of Albanians.

Rexhepi says that institutional cooperation between the ANC and the OSCE remains essential.
