The announcement of the results of the February 9 elections has caused a verbal clash between MP Hykmete Bajrami and Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu.

After it was announced that the Central Election Commission would announce the final results of the February elections today, Democratic League of Kosovo MP Hykmete Bajrami reacted.

In a Facebook post, she wrote whether Albin Kurti and his Cabinet will respect Law 08/L-117 on Government, which they drafted and approved themselves.

"According to Article 26 of the Law on Government, which has been in force since 2022, if the election results are certified tomorrow, Albin Kurti and all ministers who have been elected as MPs must resign TONIGHT. Or whenever they are certified, the prime minister and ministers must resign a day earlier.

Here is what Article 26, point 1 says:

"In the event that a member of the incumbent Government is elected as a deputy of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, the same must resign from the position of member of the Government before the day of certification of the election results."

On the other hand, Article 30 states:

"The outgoing Government continues to exercise its responsibilities, in accordance with the limitations set forth in Article 31 of this law, until the election of the new Government by the Assembly."

The question is: What do you want?They said resignation for Albin Kurti and LVV, because to date, everyone who has resigned has no longer worked in that institution.

"Hykmete, don't confuse things as usual. The announcement of results and certification are separate and different processes. The announcement of results can take place tomorrow, not the certification," Haxhiu wrote on Friday evening.

Otherwise, today, March 15, the final results of the February 9 elections are expected to be announced. /Telegraph/
