A video shared by White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino shows US President Donald Trump sitting in the Oval Office as religious leaders gather around him to pray.
Scavino posted the footage on X with a message that says: "God bless the USA."
During the meeting, religious leaders surrounded the president and offered prayers for guidance, wisdom and protection as he leads the country.
The released footage shows them placing their hands on Trump while praying.
The gathering was organized with the involvement of the White House Office of Faith and included prominent evangelical figures such as Robert Jeffress, Samuel Rodriguez, and historian David Barton.
Jeffress later said it was an honor to lead the prayer for the president, while other religious leaders described the meeting as an "extraordinary day" and a meaningful moment to pray for national leadership.
Participants asked God to grant the president wisdom, protect him from harm, and help advance policies rooted in what they described as faith-based values and justice. /Telegraph/
