Recount of 914 polling stations, CEC publishes first results

The Counting and Results Center (CNR) has begun the process of recounting 914 polling stations from the parliamentary elections held on December 28.
According to data published on the official platform of the Central Election Commission (CEC), the recount is taking place at the national level and includes all municipalities of Kosovo. The process is currently underway and, according to the latest update, some polling stations have already been processed.
Preliminary data from the recount shows the Vetëvendosje Movement leading with 42.49 percent of the votes counted so far, followed by AAK – Alliance for the Future of Kosovo with 33.64 percent. The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) ranks third with 13.59 percent, while the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has received 7.53 percent.
The recount process was initiated following the decisions of the relevant electoral bodies and aims to verify the accuracy of the results and increase electoral transparency.
The CEC has announced that the final results will be published after the full completion of the recount and their official certification.
