Kosovo's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has welcomed the recognition of Kosovo by Kenya and thanked President Osmani and former President Pacolli for their role in securing the recognition.

Kurti, through a post on Facebook, said that "the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo by the state of Kenya makes us all happy and is very good news for the Republic."

"I thank the country's president Vjosa Osmani and former president Behgjet Pacolli for their role, along with all those who contributed to this achievement," Kurti wrote, according to the Telegraph.

He further thanked the President of Kenya.

"Gratitude to the President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto, who took the historic decision and step towards bringing Kenya closer to the Republic of Kosovo and opening the way for building diplomatic relations between our two countries."
