Rivalry aside, Real Madrid congratulates Barcelona on La Liga title
Real Madrid has sent its congratulations to arch-rivals Barcelona on winning the La Liga title for the 2024/25 season.
Barcelona won last night (Thursday) against Espanyol with a score of 0-2 to mathematically win the title for this edition, with two matches left to play.
This is Barcelona's 28th title in La Liga history, but they are still behind Real Madrid, who have 36 La Liga titles.
However, despite the great rivalry and hatred between them, Real Madrid congratulated Barça on winning the title.
"Congratulations FC Barcelona for winning La Liga 2024-2025," reads Los Blancos' paragraph in their post on the X platform.

Conversely, Real Madrid won the title last season, but Barcelona has now won it twice in the last three seasons.
