US President Donald Trump has removed a video from social media that included a clip of Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys.
The clip - linked to the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight - was at the end of a 62-second video containing allegations of fraud in the 2020 presidential election, writes BBC.
While the president offered no comment in his post, the sharing of the video sparked strong reactions.
However, according to the White House, it was just a meme.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said the clip is from "an online meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King."
"Please stop the fake outrage and report today on something that really matters to the American public," she added. /Telegraph/
