Rashford ready to take pay cut to join Barcelona

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is ready to move to Barcelona and is ready to take a pay cut to do so.

According to the newspaper Sports world, Rashford is reportedly willing to take a significant pay cut to make his dream of playing for Barcelona a reality.

The 27-year-old Manchester United striker is determined to secure a move away from Old Trafford this winter, with his sights set on Camp Nou.

New United manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Rashford is not part of his plans, leaving the winger out of his Europa League squad for the clash against Glasgow Rangers on Thursday.

This exclusion has fuelled Rashford's determination to find a new club, with Barcelona at the top of his list.

This week, negotiations progressed after Arturo Canales, a player agent and mediator, met with Barcelona sporting director Deco in Lisbon.

Rashford's desire to join Barca became apparent, with an opening for a loan deal until June as one of the options discussed.

Aware of Barcelona's delicate financial situation, Rashford also communicated his willingness to take a pay cut to facilitate the move and fulfill his ambition to play alongside Barcelona's stars. /Telegraph/
