Ramadani: Parliament will likely be unblocked next week, there is no Kurti Government 3

The deputies of the Kosovo Assembly have not managed to constitute it even after the seventh consecutive attempt, as the Vetëvendosje Movement's candidate for Speaker of the Assembly did not receive the necessary votes even in Sunday's session.

In this blocked political situation, analyst Burim Ramadani has stated that the constitution of the Assembly is expected to be unblocked next week, implying that an interim solution has been reached.

Through a Facebook post, he warned that after the constitution of the Assembly, the next challenge will be the formation of the new Government. However, Ramadani stressed that, according to him, there is no possibility of forming a "Kurti 3" Government.

"Next week, the constitution of the Assembly will likely be unblocked, through an interim solution. Then the second part of the political confrontation begins: the formation of the new Government!"
PS There is no Kurti3 Government! ", he wrote.

The chairman of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari, has announced that the next session will be held on Tuesday. On the eve of it, representatives of the parliamentary parties have again warned of failure, saying that their positions remain unchanged.

Nearly three months after the February 9 elections, the Assembly remains unconstituted due to disagreements between the major parties over the election of the Speaker of the Assembly. In today's session, MPs were supposed to elect the Speaker and five Deputy Speakers, a process necessary to pave the way for the formation of a new Government.

In the February 9 elections, the Vetëvendosje Movement won with about 42 percent of the vote, securing 48 seats in the Assembly. However, to form a new government, it needs at least 61 votes. After the LVV, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) received the most votes with 24 seats, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) with 20 seats. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Nisma have won a total of eight seats, of which three belong to Nisma.

The European Union has repeated its call a few days ago for Kosovo to form new institutions as soon as possible. /Telegraph/
