Ramadan Nishori: Two men have sought help after my confession – this makes me proud

Ramadan Nishori, a survivor of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo, has expressed his pride and happiness for the impact his public confession has had on others.

He announced that after his appearance on April 14, two other men who had experienced violence during the war came to the KCRT association to seek help.

"I am very happy and proud that after my confession, on April 14, two men (raped during the war) came to the association (KCRT) and asked for help. This makes me feel even more proud of what I have come forward with and confessed. I am very grateful to the entire Kosovar society for the support they have given me. Just the two who have come forward is very, very important to me," Nishori declared in an interview with journalist Xhemajl Rexha.

He has appreciated the extensive support he has received from society, considering it an essential factor in coping with the pain and paving the way for others who have experienced similar trauma.

Nishori also confessed that sharing his story with his family was an important step in his healing process.

He has mentioned his painful experiences during the war, including torture in prison and the trauma of the Dubrava Massacre.

Finally, he called on all those who have experienced sexual violence during the war to seek professional help, emphasizing that this step was vital for him: "It was the way to save my life."
