Rama: We will file criminal charges against ministers who obstructed works in the capital

The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has declared that criminal charges will be filed against ministers who have obstructed construction work in the capital.

He said that he also requested a public debate with the Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku, regarding the blocking of several projects in the capital, but that he did not respond to the invitation and refused to confront Rama.

"He refuses to come here, why? What is he afraid of, who is he afraid of?" Rama asked.

Last week, RTV Dukagjini sent a letter to both Minister Çeku and Mayor Rama for a confrontation on Debat Plus regarding the situation created in Pristina, but Çeku did not respond to the invitation.

Meanwhile, Minister Çeku said that he will only face President Rama in court, after calling him an unscrupulous liar, adding that they have deposited evidence with the Prosecutor's Office and the Police for the misuse of millions of euros.

"Every day that this fraudster spends at the head of the municipality is a great risk for the state budget and for the capital itself," said Çeku.

Meanwhile, Rama has said that he also publicly invites all institutions and courts to process the requests.

"Very soon we will file a criminal complaint against Minister Çeku himself because we now understand that this person is actually behind all these blockades," Rama said.
