Rama proposes 'an alliance beyond armaments': Why not imagine a CPE of education and science, where non-member countries become the new borders of the EU

'An alliance beyond armaments', was Prime Minister Edi Rama's proposal at the European Political Community Summit.

He also called for the union not to focus only on defense, but also to be a source of knowledge, research, and innovation, where countries that are not EU members become new frontiers.

"We should not only invest in defense, but in the hearts and minds that will carry with them the spirit of Europe. Why not imagine a KPE of education, science and Artificial Intelligence. An alliance beyond armaments. A source of knowledge, research and innovation, where countries that are not members of the EU become new borders, a revival of what followed the fall of the Berlin Wall. We must attract young people to the embrace of Europe, where these investments yielded high dividends. Let's give the youth of Europe a better reason to stay than to talk only about weapons, to dream on European soil", said Rama.

Rama also said: "Let us ensure that Europe's journey is not a journey of abduction, but a journey of return and rebirth, a return home. Certainly a home that does not resemble the shape of weapons but the imagination of our children and our fathers, a vision that it is up to us to bring to life." /Tch/Telegrafi/
