Rama: Durrës-Pristina railway project also includes Shkodra

From Shkodra, where he held a meeting with the candidates for Socialist Party MPs in the Shkodra district, Prime Minister Edi Rama, also the chairman of the SP, said that Shkodra has been one of the cities left behind in Albania.

While asking for support in the parliamentary elections on May 11, Rama said that change is already visible to the citizens. Rama underlined that many projects have begun to be implemented in the surrounding areas, mentioning the interventions that have been made in Malesia e Madhe, Puka and Vuan e Dejës. Rama also mentioned the project for the construction of the Durrës-Prishtina railway.

"We want to continue to do a lot for Shkodra, Shkodra has been left behind. Shkodra is the most backward place in the Republic of Albania, we are in a daily battle, a great backwardness, the people of Shkodra see the change, we have changed Malësia e Madhe, you have changed Puka, we have intervened in Vuan e Dejës. By placing Shkodra at the center of gravity now, all these others will gain much more, because now we have in our hands to make integrated development, starting to strongly support Shkodra, from major government projects to the Durrës-Pristina railway that will specifically mention Shkodra, as a necessity in all senses as a very large project that is in progress and to seemingly small, but very significant projects", said Rama.

Another important project that Rama mentioned was the transformation of the city entrance.

"When we first came here, I saw the lake from the road. Entering Shkodra was like entering a fake pocket. As was the entrance to Vlora in the past. As if you were entering Lana in Tirana in 2000. Only instead of Lana, the water is the road. Now the lake has opened and that project will be a project that will transform the image of Shkodra for anyone who will enter Shkodra and will give a lot of positive energy and a lot of pride to those who live there, when they enter and leave this city that God has blessed with all kinds of things, everything that nature can offer and can have in terms of diversity, Shkodra has it," said Rama.

Rama called for support from all citizens of Shkodra, including socialists and democrats, while also making fun of the Democratic Party's candidates for deputies in Shkodra.

"We need the support of the people of Shkodra and the socialists and democrats of Shkodra who have returned to some characters, how can one insist on the same stupidity. If there was and still is a place that shows itself what a swamp is, it was Shkodra until Benetti came here. And if there is a calling card, the swamp is the list of Shkodra MPs, except for one person I respect, who is the lady in parliament for whom I respect, all the others are ridiculous, grotesque characters. They have no connection at all to what Shkodra needs, what Albania needs, useless people with no connection", said Rama. /Telegraph/
