According to the latest update of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) for January 10, 2026, the flood situation in Kosovo appears manageable, but some regions are facing significant difficulties as a result of rainfall and snowfall.

In the Pristina region, localized flooding has been reported in Pristina, Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, Lipjan, Obiliq, Drenas, Shtime and Graçanicë, mainly due to sewer blockages, with water penetrating yards, basements and houses without the need for evacuations.

The Prizren region includes flooded roads and bridges, landslides and technical interventions in Suhareka, Malisheva, Rahovec and Dragash. Main roads are monitored, but some segments are temporarily impassable.

In the Mitrovica region, the situation is calm, while in Peja, some interventions for sewage blockages are ongoing; the Peja-Rugovë road has water in some segments and citizens are advised to be careful. The situation in Gjakova is stable with a road blockage due to a landslide, while in Gjilan there are reports of localized flooding and water infiltration into basements.

AME has implemented the urgent requests of KEK and KOSTT for large capacity suction pumps and continues 24/7 coordination with all local institutions and critical infrastructure. The Agency invites citizens to report any danger through the emergency numbers 112, 193 and 192.

The situation is constantly monitored and AME remains on full alert to guarantee the safety of citizens. /Telegraph/
