QMK and the Civil Aviation Agency sign agreement for coordination and investigation in cases of air accidents

The Coordination Center for Search and Rescue in cases of air accidents in civil aviation will be transferred under the competence of the QMK, after the Director of the Crisis Management Center, Ali Muhamed, and the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Mr. Dragi Stojanoski, today signed the Agreement for financial and operational cooperation between the two institutions.
The agreement will be implemented from February 1, 2026.
As a result of this agreement, the QMK assumes the task of establishing the Coordination Center for Search and Rescue in cases of air accidents in civil aviation.
This agreement regulates mutual cooperation in the field of search and rescue in civil aviation, through the exchange of information, coordination, financial and logistical support. The purpose of the agreement is to improve the safety and efficiency in carrying out search and rescue activities.
The signing of this document represents a confirmation of the continued commitment of both institutions to improving the crisis management system and aviation safety in the Republic of North Macedonia.
