Public call for pasture and livestock subsidies in the Republic of Macedonia announced

Public Call 08/2025 for the submission of requests for payment of funds from the Rural Development Financial Support Program for 2025 has been announced today.
The support is dedicated to compensating for expenses for the maintenance of mountain pastures and meadows and for supporting traditional livestock farming, with the aim of preserving rural areas and promoting sustainable agriculture.
Agricultural farms registered in the Single Register of Agricultural Farms at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, in accordance with the Law on Agriculture and Rural Development, are eligible for support.
Amount of support:
-100% of the average net salary paid during the period from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, as an expense for the maintenance and grazing of livestock (sheep, goats and/or cows) in pastures and meadows, i.e. on registered farms located in settlements with an altitude of at least 700 meters or more;
-60% of the average net salary paid during the period from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, as an expense for the maintenance and grazing of livestock (sheep, goats and/or cows) in pastures and meadows, i.e. on registered farms located in settlements with an altitude below 700 meters.
Conditions for providing support:
1 employee for every 150 sheep;
1 employee for every 100 goats;
1 employee for every 50 cows, but not more than 620.000 denars per employed person.
Obligation to maintain the same number of employees for at least one year after payment.
Requests with relevant documentation must be submitted no later than 30.07.2025.
"This measure is part of the Government's ongoing efforts to support rural development and preserve traditional livestock farming in the mountainous areas of our country," the Ministry's announcement states.
