Provocative Russian and Serbian symbols at the celebration of the Epiphany on Lake Ujman

On Lake Ujman, the Orthodox feast of the Epiphany was marked through the traditional event of swimming for the Cross.
In this activity, over 300 Serbian citizens jumped into the cold waters of the lake, despite the low temperatures, to try to catch the cross, thus marking a record number of participants.
The demonstration attracted a large number of participants and spectators, while flags with provocative content, including state symbols of the Russian Federation, were also observed during the event.
They were also seen wearing T-shirts with the faces of the Banjska terrorists.
The Serbian Orthodox Church has issued a public statement, announcing that for security reasons and due to weather conditions, it has not assumed responsibility for organizing this event, although the event was held according to the tradition of previous years.
Also present during this celebration were Kosovo Police officials, who monitored the situation and were committed to maintaining public order and security throughout the duration of the activity.
The Swimming for the Cross in Lake Ujman has been traditionally organized since 2011 and takes place at a symbolic distance of 33 meters from the shore, a distance that represents the years of the life of Jesus Christ.
According to tradition, the participant who reaches the cross first is rewarded by receiving it as a symbol of faith and the feast of Epiphany, KP reports.
