Protests escalate in Kocani, cafe of the owner of the "Pulse" discotheque is demolished

Protests have escalated in Kocani, demanding justice for those who died in the fire at the "Pulse" discotheque.

At one point, some of the protesters also entered the "Classic" cafe, which is owned by the same company as the disco that burned down yesterday, reports Telegraph Macedonia.

A large number of Kocani citizens gathered in front of the municipal building earlier, demanding justice for the victims. They called on the mayor, Ljupco Papazov, who has resigned, to leave the building, while some of those present threw stones. The crowd shouted "Murderers" and "Anyone can be next!"

Otherwise, in the SPB Skopje and SPB Tetovo, 5 people have been detained in the case, while in Stip 13 people, of whom three people from the State Market Inspectorate, one person from the Labor Inspectorate, the owner of the facility, members of the security team, the owner of the insurance agency, the ticket seller and other people employed at the facility. Short-term detention has been imposed on 11 people.
