The Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Arbërie Nagavci, has stated that the Vetëvendosje Movement fully supports the constitutional amendments processed by the country's president for the direct election of the president by the citizens.
Through a reaction on Facebook, Nagavci said that he fully supports the constitutional amendments sent to the Assembly by Vjosa Osmani, which provide for the President of the country to be elected directly by the people.
"We express full support for the constitutional amendments forwarded today by President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, which provide for the President of the country to be elected directly by the people."
According to her, voting on these amendments would strengthen institutional stability and increase the democratic legitimacy of the institution of the president.
Nagavci has called on all political party MPs to support and vote for these constitutional amendments, emphasizing that such a step is in the interest of citizens and democracy in the country.
