Premier League candidate shows concrete interest in Anis Mehmeti, Bristol City risks losing him

Ipswich Town are interested in signing Bristol City's Albanian striker Anis Mehmeti before the transfer window closes.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder's contract expires in the summer and Ipswich intends to take advantage of this situation to secure the services of the Albanian international, with the aim of strengthening the team in the race for a return to the Premier League.
Such a transfer would also weaken a direct rival in the fight for promotion, such as Bristol, where Mehmeti is shining.

On the other hand, Bristol City wants to keep Mehmet, considering him a key part of their play-off objectives, and has already begun talks to renew his contract.
However, Ipswich are willing to challenge this stance and apply pressure to make the transfer happen.
Mehmeti joined Bristol City in January 2023 and is having a very good season in the Championship. He has scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in 27 appearances this season, while also counting 3 appearances for the Albanian national team.

According to "Transfermarkt", his current market value is estimated at around 10 million euros. /Telegraph/
