Police seek information on the case of the abandoned baby, who was found without signs of life in Pristina

Kosovo Police has also issued a statement regarding the serious case, where a baby was found without signs of life today, near a garbage dump in Pristina.

According to the Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Pristina region, Agron Borovci, in a response to the Telegraph, the police received the information today at around 11:00.

"The police have received information regarding suspicions of an abandoned baby near the garbage dump on 'Qëndresa' street, in Pristina. All relevant police units immediately went to the scene, as did emergency doctors who determined that the newborn baby was without signs of life," said Borovci.


He further said that the baby's body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, while the police, in coordination with the state prosecutor, are seriously treating the case and have initiated an investigation into the death.

"We invite anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the police directly," Borovci said.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina also said in a response to the Telegraph that investigations are in progress and that all necessary investigative measures and actions are being taken to clarify this case.

"Regarding your question, we inform you that today a baby was found without signs of life, and the State Prosecutor has ordered that the lifeless body be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine. The State Prosecutor is undertaking all measures and investigative actions regarding the matter in question." /Telegrafi/
