Kosovo Police have provided details regarding the passing of Shemsi Krasniqi, known as Shemi, the vocalist of the legendary band "Ilirët", who passed away at the age of 64.
The spokesperson for the Pristina Region Police, Enis Pllana, confirmed to Telegrafi that news of the case was received today at around 15:00.
He said the information concerned a person with no signs of life in an apartment on UÇK Street in Pristina.

As soon as they received the notification, the police immediately went to the scene.
There, the medical team pronounced the victim dead, confirming that there were no signs of life.
Pllana emphasized that the incident is being handled in coordination with the state prosecutor and all necessary police actions are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the death.
Krasniqi will be remembered for his extraordinary contribution to Albanian music, especially for his role as vocalist of the group "Ilirët", with which he brought dozens of unforgettable songs that accompanied entire generations.
His hits, such as "Xhamadani vija vija", remain part of the Albanian musical heritage.
