Kosovo Police in Kaçanik in the early hours of Thursday morning stopped a car with local license plates and after a check noticed that it was carrying counterfeit money and unauthorized weapons.

Kanun Veseli, police spokesman for the Ferizaj region, explained in a statement that after the interview at the police station in Kaçanik and in consultation with the prosecutor in charge, the "Counterfeiting of Money" case was initiated.


"On 24.04.2025, at around 03:50, on 'Idriz Seferi' street in Kaçanik, a Seat car with local license plates was stopped, driven by the suspect BR, 23 years old. During the search conducted by the police units, 27 100 dollar banknotes, all with the same serial number, suspected of being counterfeit, were found and seized from the suspect.

Following the investigative actions, a raid was carried out at the suspect's house in Han i Elezit, where various ammunition, sharp tools, an iron boxing glove, a baseball bat and a gun-shaped match were found and seized.
