The police have appealed to all traffic participants to show increased caution while driving, as a result of the dense fog that has appeared in the region.
According to the announcement of the Regional Police Directorate in Ferizaj, fog was observed in the territory of the municipalities of Ferizaj, Kaçanik, Shtime, Shtërpcë and Hani i Elezit, especially in areas with lower geographical positions and near rivers, significantly reducing visibility on the roads.
Police are urging drivers to turn on their dipped headlights and fog lights while driving, avoid using high beam headlights, slow down and keep their speed under control, and stay on the right side of the road.
Increased attention is also required to sudden changes in visibility, as fog can create optical illusions and make drivers think they are moving slower than they actually are.
The Regional Police Directorate in Ferizaj emphasizes that traffic safety is a shared responsibility and invites all drivers to respect traffic rules to avoid accidents.
