Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed he was overcome with emotion when he left the club as a teenager.
In a recent interview with GQ France, Pogba spoke about his time in Manchester, saying that his departure from United in 2012 was a difficult experience.
"I was very sad when I left Manchester United at the age of 19," Pogba said.
"At first I cried. Coming back to the club meant so much to me, it was always my goal," Pogba said.
Pogba's emotional departure was followed by a successful spell at Juventus, where he spent four years before returning to Old Trafford in 2016 for a then-record fee of €110 million.
However, Pogba's second spell at United ended in disappointment and he left the club again in 2022 to rejoin Juventus.
Despite the ups and downs of his Manchester United career, Pogba's love for the club remains clear. /Telegraph/
