Pogba is honest: I cried when I left Manchester United

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed he was overcome with emotion when he left the club as a teenager.

In a recent interview with GQ France, Pogba spoke about his time in Manchester, saying that his departure from United in 2012 was a difficult experience.

"I was very sad when I left Manchester United at the age of 19," Pogba said.

"At first I cried. Coming back to the club meant so much to me, it was always my goal," Pogba said.

Pogba's emotional departure was followed by a successful spell at Juventus, where he spent four years before returning to Old Trafford in 2016 for a then-record fee of €110 million.
