According to the English tabloid Daily Mail, Perez has a great relationship with Pochettino, referring to him as "Poch" when the two teams met in Madrid two weeks ago.

Pochettino and Perez have old friends.

"I have a lot of respect for Florentino. I'm glad if you feel the same way. He is always friendly towards me", said Pochettino for Radio Brand.

Pochettino has also impressed Real fans by stating that he would never consider working for Barcelona due to his past with Espanyol.
