Pique will earn more money from the Spanish Super Cup than Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao combined
Gerard Pique will reportedly receive four million euros from the Spanish Super Cup that was held in Saudi Arabia last weekend.
As part of an agreement signed in 2019 and extended to 2023 to 2029 between Saudi Arabia and the Spanish Football Federation, Pique receives a 10% commission from the 40 million euros paid by the Saudis to the RFEF.
Although his account is still blocked by court order, Pique will receive four million euros after Barcelona's final win over Real Madrid in Jeddah.
This amount is more than the income of the other two semi-finalist teams, Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao, combined.
The contract was initially signed by Luis Rubiales during his presidency, but the new RFEF head wants to renew the agreement with Saudi Arabia until 2034. /Telegraph/
