Switzerland heads to the European Championships with maximum ambitions, where it will be one of the rivals in group A for Albania, together with France and Romania.

The confrontation with the team of Xherdan Shaqiri and friends is undoubtedly one of the most awaited by Albanian fans.

The coach of the Helvetian formation, Vladimir Petkovic, in an interview with the Italian daily La Republlica in Paris during a UEFA meeting, talks about his friendship with the coach of Albania, Gianni De Biasi, but making it clear that against the Reds and Blacks in the match of first of the group the objective is only one, the victory and even without getting too tired in the psychological aspect.

"I enjoy playing against a friend, we are often together and talk a lot. Of course, compliments to Gianni for what he has achieved and what he did in the qualifying campaign. From our side, the first match is very important, three very important points. Of course, my objective is to win the first game, without thinking too much and without spending too much psychological energy, since we have two more games to go."

As for the European, Petkovic is a long shot. Switzerland's coach is looking for full points in the first two group games to then aim for first place in the direct clash with France.

"Of course we are pleased to be here. We made the first step by qualifying, but now we have to play and after the first two games in the group, we have secured the qualification to the 1/8 and then play with France for the first place in the group. Then in the knock-out matches they can aim for surprises", said Petkovic.
