Perez and Ancelotti have identified the 'problem' player at Real - but a big sacrifice is needed

Real Madrid have been very clear on their position following questions over whether Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr could play alongside each other.

The Frenchman finally made the switch to the Bernabeu in the summer with the Frenchman leaving PSG as a free agent after his contract expired.

Real Madrid were crowned champions of the Champions League and La Liga last season, so the addition of Mbappe almost seemed unfair to everyone else.

However, the 25-year-old's start to his Madrid adventure hasn't exactly been ideal, with just six goals (three penalties) in 10 La Liga appearances as Madrid sit nine points adrift of Barcelona.

Mbappe has played mainly in the middle with Vinicius Jr on the left, despite being the World Cup winner's most favored position.

With results not in Carlo Ancelotti's favour, and with Mbappe said to be growing frustrated with his role in the team, there are serious questions to be asked in Madrid.

Considering the time and effort required to secure Mbappe's services, it is of utmost importance that Madrid find a way to get the best out of their Galacticos and Spanish radio host Manu Carreno has revealed the inside conversation.

"In the club, they are the first to know that something is happening. The feeling is that the solution does not seem easy and I don't know what magic wand Ancelotti will have, because he is usually an expert in this type of solution", Carreno said through El Larguero.

"The team doesn't run, it doesn't defend, it doesn't support... and Ancelotti, if you miss the engine driver, then you can tell me (what is the solution)...".

Despite the introduction of Mbappe seemingly making Madrid a worse team, Carreno insisted that no matter what happens Madrid will prioritize their new signing.

"The sports project of Real Madrid will revolve around Kylian Mbappe in the coming years". For this reason, he comments that "maybe a decision should be made in the summer and we will see what will happen with Vinicius", continued Carreno.

"They are good players and they must understand each other, but there is concern in the club because the solution will not be easy."

The pressure will continue to mount on Ancelotti if he fails to unlock his new attack, especially after the club's 3-1 defeat at home to Milan on Tuesday. /Telegraph/
