Partners to provide another $35 billion in military aid to Ukraine

Ukraine's partners in the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense have pledged to provide $35 billion (€29.5 billion) in new military assistance to Ukraine.
UK Defense Secretary John Healey stated this at a press conference following the Contact Group meeting in Brussels, Ukrinform reports.
Healey said the aggression was intensifying, adding that Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities were continuing and Russia was targeting Ukrainian civilians, not just the front line.
He stressed that the Contact Group's mission remains to support Ukraine in the war now and help secure peace tomorrow.
Healey said the partners were beginning what he described as a crucial year for Ukraine with major commitments, adding that the Contact Group had pledged a total of $35 billion in new military aid.
He stressed that the partners would increase military aid to Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia.
He concluded by saying that they wanted to make 2026 "the year when the war ended and peace was secured."
As Ukrinform reported, John Healey stated that Ukraine's resistance must be reinforced by the determination of its partners and new substantial commitments to Ukraine for 2026. /Telegrafi/
