PDK disappointed by ECAP for Mitrovica: We will appeal to the Supreme Court
The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has expressed its deep disappointment following the decision of the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP), which today rejected the party's complaint regarding irregularities identified in the electoral process in South Mitrovica.
PDK considers the ECAP decision to be unfair and unfounded in the reality of what happened. The party says it has presented facts, evidence and documents that show that the electoral process was violated and that the will of the citizens was not respected according to the law and democratic standards.
"We will not stop. We will use all legal mechanisms guaranteed by the Republic of Kosovo. Our next step is to file an appeal with the Supreme Court, the final and decisive instance to guarantee the justice and integrity of the electoral process," the PDK statement said.
The party underlines that its goal is to protect the free, fair and clean vote of citizens and that it demands nothing more than respect for the law and the expressed will of the citizens of Mitrovica.
"Justice will come. We will continue until the end," the statement concludes.
