PDK MP accuses Minister Sveçla: He took actions in the north without asking the Police Director at all

The deputy of PDK, Rashit Qalaj, has criticized the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Kurti Government for interference in the Police in Kosovo, namely in the investigations that are being carried out on persons in power or close to power.

According to Qalaj, the government is hindering investigations, such as with the state reserves, and according to him, this is what international reports want.

"Shemsi Haziri has changed politically, he protects crime, he protects his own people in power... When the DASH report also says that the change of the head of the Task Force is related to serious crime in the Government. Then this needs no comment", said Qalaj on RTV Dukagjini.

Qalaj further criticized the Minister of the Interior, Xhelal Sveçla, for taking police actions in the north of the country without asking the General Director of the Police.

And according to him, Sveçla is appointing "people in the Police, only people from the city he comes from" and thus, according to him, they are trying to close the investigation cases.

"Absolutely it is from outside (the influence on the Police). You know, let's not repeat things in the north, how the minister acted without asking the director at all. I don't want him to talk about some things, let the investigations say. In the end, it is better to protect the investigations from being damaged, than for me to do politics in the name of the opposition. And tell you things that I don't want to tell you, that I wanted to tell you. However, due to the importance of Banjka's case, for example, I have decided to remain silent for the moment. But, it is important to touch the pillar of the Police investigation as little as possible", added Qalaj.

Thus Qalaj said that the ruling party has forgotten the cause of fighting corruption and nepotism. /Dukagjin/
