Over 2500 Web3 enthusiasts gather in Pristina – Binance’s Kyrylo Khomiakov says Kosovo has a bright digital future

Pristina transformed into the Balkan regional capital of digital innovation this weekend, as over 2,000 blockchain technology enthusiasts, developers, investors, and cryptocurrency professionals attended the BlockTalk Pristina 2025 conference.

Organized for the second time in a row, the two-day event brought well-known global and regional names to the capital – with Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency platform, as a main partner and sponsor.

Over two days, the conference featured 27 speakers from across Europe and beyond, hands-on workshops, product presentations, panel discussions and networking sessions. Special awards and prizes were also given to many participants.

In a statement to Telegraph, Binance Regional Director for Europe, Africa and Asia, Kyrylo Khomiakov, emphasized the strategic importance of this event:

“Binance’s participation in BlockTalk Prishtina 2025 represents a key step in our strategy to engage with the cryptocurrency community in Kosovo and the wider Central and Eastern European region. This conference is a valuable platform to connect thought leaders and innovators in the blockchain field,” he said.

He further added that “Kosovo has tremendous potential in the global Web3 movement thanks to a young and tech-savvy population that is eager to embrace innovation. With education and support, this generation can be the driver of major changes in the digital world.”

One of the strongest local voices for crypto at the conference was Memli Krasniqi, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, who emphasized that Kosovo has the potential to lead in this field.

"The future does not wait. Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are no longer tomorrow's issues - they are changing the world today. We discussed the potential that Kosovo and the region have, the challenges that await us, and the role we can play in the global digital economy," said Krasniqi.

He added, “Kosovo has a talented and passionate youth for this field. All they need is a state that understands this potential, that creates a friendly environment and stands by them. If we do this, Kosovo can become a regional hub for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.”

One of the organizers and leaders of the conference, Labinot Bajrami, praised it as the largest conference in the region, and the fact that they are collaborating with Binance for the first time.

In addition to discussions and thematic sessions, Binance also introduced the Binance Academy educational platform, which in 2024 alone managed to educate over 44 million users worldwide.

Through online courses, workshops, and interactive programs, the platform offers open and quality knowledge on cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and digital finance.

BlockTalk 2025 concluded with a clear message: Kosovo is ready to become an active part of the global digital future.
