Over 100 snakes removed from homeowners' garden in Sydney, Australia

Living in Australia means you may have to accept encountering a snake or two on your property at some point.

But a Sydney homeowner saw many more when a snake hunter discovered 102 of the slithering reptiles hiding in his garden.

David Stein had seen several snakes in a pile in his backyard in suburban Sydney and called Reptile Relocation Sydney to take a look.

By the time snake tracker Dylan Cooper had finished digging, he had found a total of 102 snakes – five adults and 97 newborns.

"Red-bellied black snakes" are a type of venomous snake and females are known to gather to give birth, Kerewaro said. /Telegraph/
