The Anti-Smuggling Units of Kosovo Customs have conducted an operational control at a pharmacy in the city of Ferizaj.

According to a statement from Kosovo Customs, during the inspection, customs officers found a significant amount of unlabeled medicines, which were not imported through official channels and regular customs procedures.


"A total of 153 pieces of medicinal items of various types were confiscated, including prescription-only preparations, therapeutic products for chronic diseases, dermatological medications, antiepileptics, antihypertensives and other sensitive pharmaceutical products," the announcement states.

It is further announced that all goods have been confiscated according to legal procedures and sent to customs warehouses for further processing, while the case has been initiated as a customs offense according to the Customs and Excise Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

Kosovo Customs remains committed to strengthening control in the pharmaceutical market, with the aim of protecting public health and preventing the circulation of unsafe medicines. /Telegrafi/
