The Presidency of the Republic of Kosovo has strongly condemned the language calling for the shooting of the country's President, Vjosa Osmani.

Through a response from the presidency, they say that when the word "shooting" is used in political debate, this is not about criticism or opinion, but about dangerous language that incites hatred and normalizes political violence.

According to the reaction, Kosovo is not and should never be a place where political activists declare themselves judges and announce life sentences for figures elected by citizens.

"The mentality that such language produces is precisely the mentality that has held public debate hostage for decades with labels, slander, and lynchings," the reaction states.

President Osmani is not anyone's "tool," the response says, nor is she part of conspiratorial fantasies about alleged treason.

"She is the President of the Republic of Kosovo, legitimately elected and exercising her mandate on the basis of the Constitution. Those who today speak of 'treason' and 'shooting' and push forward slander and conspiracies are in fact calling for violence and political murder," the reaction states.

As is known in the response from the presidency, Kosovo has paid a lot for its freedom to tolerate lynching language against its institutions today.

"Calls for 'shooting' are not political rhetoric, but direct incitement to violence and crime. Anyone who thinks they can intimidate a President with such slander or threats is simply proving that they have not yet accepted that we live in a democratic Republic. The Presidency of the Republic of Kosovo calls on the competent law enforcement and justice bodies to urgently deal with these cases and treat them in accordance with the law," the Presidency's response states, among other things. /Telegrafi/
