Osmani in Tirana with accusations against the EU: You have opened the door to those who go to Putin and block Kosovo

The country's President, Vjosa Osmani, is representing Kosovo at the European Political Community Summit being held in Tirana.

Before the start of this Summit, Osmani said in a statement to the media that there is a total blockade by the European Union and the work is not being appreciated.

"There is a total blockade by the EU, our work is not appreciated, the reforms undertaken are not appreciated, the fact that we are 100% with their policies regarding sanctions against Russia, but also other policies, is not appreciated. Unfortunately, a very bad message is being given for our region. More is being opened in relation to those who go to Moscow to Putin than for us who see no other path and alternative than the EU," said Osmani.

The head of state further stated that more important than the talks with Serbia are the talks between Kosovo and the European Union.

"Kosovo applied for membership in the European Union two years ago and unfortunately this application has not yet been reviewed by the European Union due to unnecessary political complications being created by some member states," she said.

According to President Osmani, since the sixth summit of the European Political Community is being held, the time has come for concrete actions to go beyond the fine words given to states aspiring for membership.

"Since this summit is being held in the Western Balkans, it is very important that it has concrete results, especially for countries like Kosovo, which is 100 percent in full alignment with foreign and security policy decisions," the president said, reports Telegrafi.

According to the head of state, regarding the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, there should first be talk about lifting the measures by the European Union.

"I have requested the lifting of the measures by the EU because this damages the credibility of the EU itself and I requested it last night during dinner and I will request it again today because this would give credibility to the dialogue, but Kosovo is always ready and constructive...", she said. /Telegraph/
