The country's President, Vjosa Osmani, said today that March 7 is the holiday of the spirit of our nation, which survived thanks to the Albanian language.

Osmani emphasizes that the Albanian school was an act of resistance, at home, in basements, and in conditions of sacrifice.

"In times of persecution, Albanian teachers did not give up. They kept alive the language, the book and the dream of a nation that wanted to live free. From the first school bench to the universities, it is the same mission, to raise generations who love the language, the homeland and freedom.

Therefore, March 7 is a day of gratitude and respect for every teacher who, through knowledge and dedication, educates generations and strengthens the foundations of the state.

Happy March 7th to all teachers!" she said. /Telegraph/
