Osmani after meeting with Costa: The path to the EU should be opened for Kosovo

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, after meeting with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, held a joint press conference.

Osmani said he hopes that member states will lift the measures against Kosovo.

"Kosovo is ready to move forward. European integration is a path that requires commitment... Under your leadership, the path to the EU will be opened for Kosovo. Every minute with the measures in force is a minute of great injustice," Osmani said, reports Telegrafi.

She also demanded that the five EU member states recognize Kosovo's independence.

Osmani said that he hopes that with the appointment of the new emissary in the dialogue, he hopes that this process will move forward and a new spirit and equal treatment will be introduced in this process.

"The main focus of this process should be mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia," she said.

She also commented on Vučić's recent visit to Moscow.

"This is a clear act that challenges the sustainability and stability of Europe," said Osmani.

She further thanked President Costa for our commitment towards Kosovo's European path.

"It is an investment in peace and stability. The growth plan for the Balkans is a good opportunity. It is essential to make progress in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue," Osmani said. /Telegraph/
