In the Qendra Zhupa Municipality, two sick and helpless people, who were registered, exercised their right to vote at home today.

"Two people sent a request to the Municipal Election Commission and they were accepted, and today they voted. In the elections on October 19 last year, 12 people registered to exercise their right to vote, and they were accepted, and 11 people voted," Nexhip Iljaz, chairman of the commission, told the News Agency.

In this municipality, the mayoral election is being repeated because the participation of 1/3 or 33,33 percent of the voting body was not ensured, while there were three candidates in the race.

There is only one candidate on the ballot now, and as is known, no census is required. However, he must receive more than half of the votes of the voters who turn out to vote (50% + 1 vote).

"Voting will take place in 16 polling stations, while 7562 people are registered on the single electoral list, which is 11 more than on October 19, when 21,49 percent of a total of 7551 registered voters exercised this right. The electoral material has been distributed and we expect tomorrow's electoral process to go smoothly," said Iljaz.

The Qendra Zhupë commune, which is known for its massive migration after the last census, has 3720 inhabitants.
